2018 — NOW
2018
We first met in Manchester in 2018, when Faye walked into the Slug & Lettuce in Didsbury and handed in her CV.
Not long after, we had our first date at Bundobust. Good food, a few drinks and apparently an unlimited amount of conversation. The talking never really stopped after that.

2019
A year later, we moved into our first apartment together in Castlefield, where Manchester became home for the next few years.
Somewhere along the way we started talking more and more about what we actually wanted our life to look like. Travel was always a big part of that conversation.

2023
In 2023, we started our own company with a pretty simple idea: more freedom, working for ourselves and eventually being able to travel while we worked.
It was something we had talked about for years, but between normal life and a certain global pandemic, it had always felt slightly out of reach. Until suddenly it wasn’t.
NOV 2024
We packed our bags and headed to Sri Lanka, spending our first Christmas away from home at a surf camp.
We were terrible at surfing, but fortunately much better at making friends. From there came New Year in Cambodia, followed by Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
SUMMER 2025
We had an amazing summer back in England, including seeing Oasis in Manchester, before heading off on a trip to Italy — first Rome, then Sicily.
And after seven years together, Liam finally decided it might be time to ask a fairly important question. Faye said yes.

AFTER THE YES
Most newly engaged couples might have gone straight home and started looking at venues.
We booked a one-way ticket to the Americas instead, with a few detours first: Iceland, some time in the States with both sides of our families, and then our Latin America trip.
It probably wasn’t the most conventional way to start an engagement, but it was very us.

NOW
When we finally came back to the UK, it was time to actually plan a wedding. We found Borgo della Meliana and almost immediately knew we needed to see it in person.
The moment we arrived, it just felt right. The countryside, the Borgo, the space for everyone to stay together — it was exactly what we had been looking for.
